He is responsible for designing and implementing backend services and API endpoints using hibernate models to manipulate data and interact with databases. Sam has also created frontend pages with Backbone.js and Marionette for user interaction and has integrated his services with pre-existing services. Before joining Amazon, Sam worked as an SDE Intern at Reflexion Health, where he wrote test suites for the product based on Angular.js. During his time at Amazon as an SDE Intern, Sam designed MySQL database structures to match requirements on Amazon Web Services' RDS. He also implemented backend services and API endpoints using hibernate models to manipulate data and interact with databases and created frontend pages with Backbone.js and Marionette for user interaction. Sam integrated his services with pre-existing services, demonstrating his ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a team. Sam holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of California, where he gained a solid foundation in computer science and software engineering.
