Sam Kumar is a highly experienced Engineering Leader with over 16 years of experience leading and building scalable, enterprise-level applications as well as small and mid-size web and mobile apps. He is currently the Director of Engineering at LeadSquared, where he focuses on SaaS CRM space, majorly working on Education Domain products and Channel Portals in BFSI. Sam started his career as a Java developer and later moved to PHP, and in the last six years, he has led teams working on modern frameworks like Nodejs, React, and more. He is a solutionist with a keen interest in architecture solutioning, especially around Cloud Infra. He has hands-on experience managing AWS-based services, including ECS, EC2, Load Balancer, Lambda, API Gateway, Route 53, Cloudfront, S3, Cloud Formation templates, Terraform, and more. Sam is experienced with MySQL/Postgres as well as DynamoDB/Mongo. All of Sam's recent projects have been executed in Agile model with CI and delivery with automated code pipelines. He is a Startup enthusiast and ready to take up any challenge, any technology. He has managed teams of size up to 45 and co-founded a startup building it from scratch and running for almost 4.5 years with 30+ employees. Sam has overall startup experience across multiple companies around 11 years while directly reporting to Management. He has also been involved in Presales, Estimation and Costing, P&L planning. Sam holds several certifications, including AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM®), Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO®), and is pursuing PMP. Currently, as the Director of Engineering at LeadSquared, Sam is the Engineering Leader for the Education Vertical. Sam's past experience includes being the Director of Delivery and Co-founder at Coddle Technologies, where he set up the initial team, did hands-on development while managing projects, and set up
