Samarth Gupta is a Software Development Engineer 2 at Amazon Development Center with a keen interest in Data Science. With a strong foundation in Data Mining and Machine Learning, he actively participates in various Computer Vision and Data Mining competitions. Recently, he was one of the finalists for Goldman Sachs Quantify'19 in the ML Category, out of 4000+ participants. C++ and Python are his primary coding languages, and he is actively seeking software development and machine learning full-time roles. Samarth has worked as an SDE Internship at Amazon, where he owned the end-to-end development of a component in the upcoming labelling platform. He has also worked as a Summer Intern at UBS, where he saved 8 hours per week of the testing team by automating the process of weekly defect reporting. He also used Natural Language Processing to find similar JIRAs based on their description, which helped testers and developers reuse pre-existing code, test cases, and test data. Samarth holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, which he completed in 2020.
