Samarth Nayyar is a talented product designer with a passion for illustrations, animations, and user experience design. He is currently a graduate student pursuing MSIS UXD at the University of Texas at Austin and seeking summer internships in UX design. With a creative side since childhood, Samarth always found ways to express his creativity, from drawing on walls to making a mess on the floor. Although he joined engineering like any other standard Indian boy, he realized it was not for him in a year. Despite having the fighting spirit and the will to not disappoint people who wanted him to be an engineer, he completed it and made sure he had a plan right after. From an engineering background, Samarth grew through communities and paved his way into the product design domain, turning into the person he is today - a self-taught product designer. He has 1.60 years of relevant experience in product design, having worked with top companies such as Insider, Paytm, MakeMyTrip, Goibibo, and Airtel Payments Bank. At Paytm, he worked on the rebranding of Paytm Chat and built a platform for investment freaks, Paytm Wealth Community. At Insider, he contributed to the launch of a new product, Insider Frontstage, to merge the gap between offline and online events. He also worked on Insider Vibes, a project aimed at bringing people together for conversations and inducing conversations in communities. In both cases, he built a design system, color system, font system, and a library of components, combining with business and developers to execute the best possible version of the product for the people in the most efficient manner. Samarth holds a Bachelor of Technology in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from Vellore Institute of Technology and a Master of Science in Information Science/Studies from the University of Texas at Austin. He also completed his 10+2 from Delhi Public School Gurgaon. Samarth's tech stack includes designer, product designer, and UI. With his skills and experience, he is a valuable addition to any team looking for a talented and dedicated product designer.
