Sambuddha Basu is an accomplished entrepreneur and ex-Google software engineer with 5.79 years of relevant experience in the tech industry. Currently, he serves as an Angel Investor at angellist, where he has invested in several rolling funds, including 10x Capital/Gaingels Early Stage Diversity Fund, Christopher Golda Demo Day Fund S22, and Guillaume Luccisano Demo Day Fund S22. Before joining angellist, Sambuddha worked at Google as a Senior Software Engineer and Software Engineer III. In his role as a Senior Software Engineer, he worked on Augmented Reality (AR) projects, while as a Software Engineer III, he was responsible for improving discovery on Google Assistant by personalizing them. He designed and modified infrastructure, conducted A/B experiments, and analyzed metrics to enhance Assistant engagement and quality. Sambuddha holds a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from the International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), where he studied from 2013 to 2017. He also completed his high school education at Delhi Private School, Sharjah, in 2007.
