Sameer Kanikdale is an experienced Engineering Manager for an industry-leading IIoT platform - ThingWorx. With over 16 years of experience in developing enterprise software products, Sameer is a technology enthusiast who specializes in designing and developing SaaS products with the latest technology stack. He has 3+ years of experience managing a high-performance team of IIT/NIT graduates. Sameer has a diverse range of skills in various technologies, including Node JS, React, Java, Spring, C, and C++. He is also proficient in containerization using Docker and Kubernetes, messaging brokers such as RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ, and Kafka, and databases like PostgreSQL, MS-SQL, and MongoDB. Sameer has experience in IAM using Azure B2C and Auth0, distributed cache using Redis, schema using Graph QL, and search using Elastic Search. He is also familiar with Azure services like AKS, Relay, Functions, Cognitive Services, and Azure managed PostgreSQL. Currently working as a Development Manager at PTC, Sameer has designed and developed a microservices-based software using twelve-factor app methodology. The software allows integration of SaaS products like Box, Dropbox, Salesforce, Dynamics365, along with enterprise products like SAP, Windchill, and Dynamics 365. Along with team management, Sameer has also spent time designing and developing a few stories individually. He has built standard-based connectors like OData, Open API (Swagger), SOAP, and OSLC, enterprise connectors like Azure, SAP, Dynamics365, Windchill, and ThingWorx, and various messaging system connectors based on protocols like AMQP, MQTT, and STOMP. Sameer has also demonstrated a proof of concept for Digital thread use-case using GraphQL and built a POC for IoT thing attributes indexing using Elastic Search. Sameer's past experience includes working as a Software Consultant and Technical Lead at PTC, where he designed and developed a licensing module from scratch for ThingWorx and Windchill. He also built an adaptor for GE Predix and ThingWorx data inter-operability using Spring boot. Sameer has a B.E. degree from Nagpur University and completed his Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry education from Dinanath Junior College.
