Sameer Karve is an experienced software engineer with over 12 years of experience in designing, implementing and refactoring web UIs, REST APIs and interactive data visualizations for cloud services, using a TDD approach. He is currently working as an Engineering - Web UI & API at VMware R&D. Sameer has a strong passion for debugging functional, scale, performance or security issues and reviewing technical designs, estimates, test plans and PRs. He is also skilled in delivering reliable, scalable, and impactful solutions developed by a diverse & distributed cross-functional team. Sameer has a proven track record of advocating Agile principles and improving their degree of adoption. He has also designed/optimized, operationalized & institutionalized simple tools and job aids that improve efficiency & quality. Sameer has experience in designing/refining the interview process/problems and conducting interviews. In addition to his work, Sameer is interested in sustainable living, electric mobility, and personal finance. He has worked on the originations platform at TCS and was responsible for developing it using frameworks such as Spring and jQueryUI. Sameer has also worked at Oracle as a Software Developer for FlexCube Direct Banking and at Fractal Analytics as a Software Developer for Fractal Sciences. Sameer holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Information Technology from the University of Mumbai.
