Sameer Masalkar is a Technical Lead at Jio with 9 years of experience in Architecture, Design, and Development of Platforms, Software, and building complex, high-performance, scalable, and easily maintainable solutions for N - tier, Web, and Distributed Applications. He specializes in JavaScript, Node js, Mircroservices, ELK, Mongo, Kafka, Elastic Search, and Redis. At Jio, Sameer has worked on the TrueConnect Platform which is backed by Blockchain technology (in production) to save 17% of the world’s population from pesky unsolicited SMS communication to build trust between enterprises and their customers. He has provided technical guidance to peers from time to time and lead complex technical tasks. He has re-designed and developed a simplified registration process and management of the Entity-Header-Template for enterprises and individuals. The platform received more than 1.2 lakhs+ of Principle Entity registrations which is the highest across the telecom industry of India. Sameer has also refactored legacy code of all registration processes which helped Platform to grow and add more validations and compliances to processes. He improved coding standards and was successful in code optimization and wrote reusable code. Sameer has implemented Microservice architecture to ease out deployment process and maintenance. Also, it helped us to run modules independently. Also helped in the quicker deployment of features to production. He has integrated payment gateway and invoicing services to the platform. This has added a revenue stream to the organization. Currently handling billing and collection of approx. 10 lakhs of rupees in amount per day. He has implemented messaging queues (Kafka) in payment collection, invoice generation, and DLT onboarding. Sameer has also implemented EFK and in-house Event history microservice for better log management and tracking. We have a history of all the events occurring on our portal which helps in tracking down events like - when, what, who and why. Prior to Jio, Sameer worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Birlasoft. He has a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) in Computer Science engineering from Guru Jambheshwar University and completed his HSC from O P Jindal Modern School.
