Sameer Maurya is a Senior Data Scientist at ValueFirst, a Twilio company. He has over four years of experience as a data scientist, specializing in computer vision and natural language processing. Sameer is proficient in Python and all major deep learning frameworks and has completed major projects involving computer vision and deep learning on edge. He has also deployed multiple deep learning projects on AWS/Heroku/Azure for different clients. Currently, Sameer is working on the core NLP engine of the SURBO bot builder at ValueFirst. He is responsible for feature enhancement of the different NLP processes and has created an abstract layer for continuous model training and versioning with the help of ML-ops. Sameer has also built a unified ML API comprising different services that can be used across different products in the organization. Prior to his current role, Sameer worked as a Principal Data Scientist at Chamko, where he structured major data pipelines and used machine learning and deep learning methods to find various correlations within the data. He designed the flow of the whole architecture, defining the various cron and different crawling system designs for maximizing the data points capturing throughput. Sameer also created a recommendation system for the internal search engine of the system. He has also worked as a Data Science consultant at GSPL-Guidona Softpedia Private Limited. Sameer holds a Master of Science degree in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence from Liverpool John Moores University, a PGD in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence from International Institute of Information Technology Bangalore, and a Bachelor of Technology degree in Information Technology from Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology.
