Sameer Noorani is a seasoned entrepreneur with over a decade of experience in the tech industry. He is currently the Founder and CEO of Shifthive, a software platform that accurately forecasts healthcare staffing levels and generates optimized schedules to reduce labor expenditures and meet demand. Shifthive integrates with patient placement systems and other EMR platforms to get historical and real-time demand information for schedule generation. Sameer's expertise in ML, TensorFlow, and integration has enabled Shifthive to develop A.I. algorithms that try thousands of possibilities and use a novel approach to auto creating and auto filling shifts based on real-time demand. Before Shifthive, Sameer founded Lucid Vertex, an ML-based platform that digitized thousands of documents and extracted entity data within minutes. The platform recognized accurately hard to read documents with image artifacts, including handwritten scanned documents, and extracted entity data such as dates, people, places, etc. Sameer used TensorFlow for document classification and the ability to digitize, organize and extract entity data from thousands of scanned documents, within hours. Sameer also founded ShiftPosts, an on-demand platform that provides shift workers to the healthcare industry. He bootstrapped the startup while running his development agency, Sixtooth, and managed and mentored 12 employees (programmers, sales team, marketing, etc). Sameer created partnerships with nationwide pharmacy brands, visited conferences in Dublin, Lisbon and across Canada & United States, and got ShiftPosts a pilot with the BC Pharmacy Association. He showcased the prototype at the WebSummit 2015, where ShiftPosts was selected as an "Alpha Startup". ShiftPosts was selected as a "Beta Startup" at the Web Summit 2016. Sameer holds a double major in Computer Science and Neural Biology from the University of Toronto at Mississauga - Erindale College. He is skilled in Javascript, ML, TensorFlow, Integration, Senior Software Engineer, NodeJS, and Web. Sameer's relevant experience in the industry spans 10.95 years.
