Sameer Pandit is an experienced Software Development Engineer-III currently working at Groupon. He is leading the financial reporting initiatives in the merchant experience team at Groupon Local. Sameer has a proven track record of revamping the Groupon goods marketplace platform, which provided the 3rd party merchant at par experience as of 1st party merchants. As part of the same lead, the migration of deals to the new platform, which led to the realization of massive supply growth. He has also re-architected goods’ batch processing system to implemented priority job processing and monitoring, which led to transparency, predictability, and establishment of SLA for merchant’s operations on goods supply platform. Prior to Groupon, Sameer worked as a Software Development Engineer II at Groupon and as a Senior Member Of Technical Staff at Oracle. At Oracle, he was part of GlassFish JavaEE RI Team and worked on Java EE 8 RI a.k.a GlassFish 5. He worked on fixing bugs, integrating new spec. implementations, and contributed heavily on setting up CI pipeline for glassfish. He also contributed to JSR 375 (security JSR) fixing integration bugs in glassfish and RI. Sameer holds a Master of Technology (MTech) in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, and a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Information Technology from the National Institute of Technology, Raipur. He also has a Senior School Certificate Examination (Class XII) from Krishna Public School Bhilai and an Indian Certificate of Secondary Education class 10th from Carmel Convent Eng.
