Sameer Shinde is a skilled Software Engineer and Data Scientist with a passion for data flow, storage, and retrieval, as well as problem solving. He is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Computer Science at the University of California Irvine and is expected to graduate in December 2019. Sameer has a well-rounded experience in software engineering, having worked for 2 years at Credit Suisse as a full stack developer in Test Automation and high-frequency trading application. He also did a summer internship at Salesforce in Data Engineering and response team where he built an app for visualizing and analyzing data coverage in security data pipeline at Salesforce. Sameer has a strong understanding and experience of developing record-based file storage, index manager using B+ tree, relational Manager, and Query engine layers in databases. He is also well-versed in Machine Learning and Data Science, having explored these areas through various projects and research work. Sameer is proficient in several programming languages, including Java, Python, C, and C++, and has experience in web development using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, PHP, and Servlets. He is also skilled in version control using Tortoise SVN and Git. Sameer has worked on several major projects, including RestauBot, a messenger chatbot for suggesting the best restaurant based on preferences of individuals and group, and Toxic Comments Classification Challenge Kaggle, where he implemented ML algorithms to classify toxic comments into 6 multilabel classes. He also designed a Deep Q network with reinforcement learning for developing an agent to play Chrome Dino Run by self-experience and built a relational database management system (RDBMS) from scratch with layers of record-based file storage, Index manager using unclustered B+tree, relational Manager, and Query engine on top. Sameer has a Bachelor of Technology in Information Technology from Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute (VJTI) and a Diploma in Information Technology from Government Polytechnic Mumbai. He is also a graduate of Balmohan Vidyamandir School - India. Sameer possesses strong analytical and debugging skills and is well-versed in the execution of Software development, Agile methodologies, Client interaction, and Planning.
