Sameer Singh is a Robotics (Computer Science) graduate student at Northeastern University with a passion for solving hard real-world problems. He has extensive experience as a Software Engineer, having designed and developed various distributed, scalable, micro-services based architectures using Java and Python. Sameer has worked with many databases, frameworks, and technologies, including Spring Boot, Play, Elasticsearch, Kafka, Spark, Node.js, Docker, Scikit-learn, SQL, Cassandra (NoSQL), Redis, Tensorflow, Keras, Maven, and Git. Sameer is interested in Reinforcement Learning and Artificial Intelligence (AI) and enjoys keeping up with the latest developments in these fields. He is currently seeking a software development internship/co-op during Spring/Summer 2021. Sameer's experience includes working as a Software Engineer Intern at Berkshire Grey, where he has been involved in developing software for the company's robotics solutions. He has also worked as a Teaching Assistant for course CS5800: Algorithms at Khoury College of Computer Sciences. Prior to his current role, Sameer worked as a Software Engineer at Vassar Labs, where he designed a distributed, scalable, microservices-based architecture for an integrated analytics platform for higher education, decreasing average query execution time by ~85%. He also developed a data pipeline to periodically migrate data from a SQL database to a NoSQL database to ease data processing and computation, automated the content management system for the digital classroom portal, and improved the search facility in the portal. Sameer holds a Master of Science in Computer Science (Robotics) from Northeastern University and a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design and Manufacturing, Jabalpur. He also completed his High School education at Kendriya Vidyalaya.
