Sami Malik is an experienced Senior Fullstack Software Engineer with a strong background in design studies through the Interactive Multimedia Developer program from Algonquin College of Applied Arts and Technology. With almost 10 years of relevant experience, Sami has worked in the enterprise software industry and possesses a wide range of skills in Drupal, React, React Native, API Development, Wireframing, Icon Design, Conceptual Art, PHP, and architecting technical solutions. Currently working at digital convergence as a Senior Fullstack Software Engineer, Sami has previously worked at Appnovation as a Senior Drupal Developer where he interpreted internal requirements to establish complete and accurate functional specifications and product documentation. He was also a member of the development team that built and deployed high quality and compelling websites and applications using Drupal. He has experience in engineering a Drupal instance, module development, PHP library development and implementation, third party service integration (Adobe DTM, Aprimo DAM, Google analytics and other external API's), and micro-service architecture using Node.js, MongoDB, Express. Sami has also worked as a front-end and back-end developer. Sami's entrepreneurial spirit led him to found Cygnia, an e-commerce platform that empowers businesses and entrepreneurs by providing them with a complete end-to-end solution with email hosting, e-commerce/websites, and marketing solutions. Sami's education includes a Graphic Design degree from Algonquin College of Applied Arts and Technology and a Public Administration degree from the University of Ottawa.
