Samiksha Manjunath is a Software Development Engineer at Amazon, working on the Alexa Domains - Smart Home and NLU projects. With a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Southern California, she has a keen interest in Data Science and Machine Learning. Samiksha has a strong background in IT, having worked as an Analyst and an IT Intern at Cisco. At Cisco, she worked on a variety of projects, including designing and building Business Analytics Dashboards that reduced database and application downtime by 30% using Python, PL/SQL, Tableau, and SAP Business Objects. She also managed end-to-end planning and production push of 10+ planned software releases and 30+ project defined Agile releases across various business units in Cisco IT as Transition lead. Samiksha has experience in deploying code from Test to Production environments using AppDB for backend deployment, Jenkins, and uDeploy for front-end deployment. During her internship at Amazon, Samiksha designed and built a solution that allowed the team to auto-label Smart Home production traffic using dialog success status as training data for Smart Home NLU statistical models. She built a tool to debug single-shot utterances in statistical models for Alexa Domains - Smart Home team using Domain, Intent, and Entity Recognizer classifier results and Python (Natural Language Understanding). She also implemented processes to incorporate auto-labeled data into training data using SQL (Alexa Machine Learning). In her free time, Samiksha enjoys reading and meeting new people. She was runners up in the annual Plan-B event (Business Plan competition) organized by Early in Career Network in Cisco.
