Samisht Sehgal is the Founder at Qurist, one of India's largest fully licensed cannabis brands, with a focus on novel industry-leading products, uncompromising quality, and a drive to help those in need. With over two years of experience at the helm, Samisht has been instrumental in the growth of the company. Before Qurist, Samisht was a key member of Deloitte S&O's M&A team, where he worked on some of the largest M&A deals in the country. He was a winner of the prestigious Presidents Award and worked on post-merger integration for the largest consumer healthcare deal in India. He also worked on a strategy refresh for India's most prestigious boarding schools in a pro-bono effort to further quality education in the country. He performed an SKU rationalization using a proprietary model and set sales targets for distributors and salespersons through rigorous analysis for one of the largest Indian footwear retailers. Samisht also worked on the project to lead the world’s largest automotive group to revival. He designed a market re-entry strategy to revive the company’s viability in India and move towards a sustainable model with positive growth and high future targets. He successfully performed a bid advisory for one of India’s largest energy companies and developed proposals for leading companies across India and Africa in Energy, Consumer Durables, and FMCG. During his MBA at IIM Indore, Samisht was also the managing partner of Xpress-o-mat, a startup that provided online laundry services to over 4000 registered users. He co-founded the company and led business operations, strategy, sales acceleration, and planning. He built and innovated upon a sustainable and profitable business model while using data and analytics to boost efficiency. He was voted to managing partner by the board during the high growth phase that lasted two years and provided double-digit returns for all investors. He was a member of the board and exited in 2018. Samisht is passionate about sports and music and likes to involve himself in extracurricular activities. He plays squash and guitar in his free time. Samisht holds an MBA from IIM Indore and a Masters in Business from Ecole de Management de Normandie. He also has a foundation in management from IIM Indore and a high school diploma from Vasant Valley School. His tech stack includes integration, research scientist, and search.
