Samson Praneeth S.D. is a skilled Senior Embedded IoT Engineer with over 5 years of experience in testing and developing effective embedded IoT-based products. He has a diverse knowledge of design, development, and testing approaches, and is experienced in the full project life cycle from design to implementation to integration. Currently, he is working at zestiot as a Senior Embedded IoT Engineer, where he has worked on firmware development for the core embedded device of the company. He has also provided mentorship to embedded interns and suggested and implemented some Python Codes to process the data from the Embedded Devices on the server-side. Samson has designed and implemented creative designs to extract meaningful information from raw IoT device's data and generate higher-level data. He has worked on various controllers such as Raspi, ESP32, LoPy and worked with the team to build IoT applications. Samson has experience with protocols (I2C, SPI, I2C, USB, SDIO, UART, GPIO, etc), board bring-up, interfacing peripherals, and wireless communication protocols (such as LoRaWAN, BLE) and commonly used application-level protocols such as MQTT. He has worked mainly on Ubuntu(Linux) operating systems throughout his programming journey and has worked with Python(Raspberry Pi), MQTT(messaging service), MySQL, Embedded C, Numpy, Pandas. Samson has documented all software development methodologies in technical manuals to be used by Embedded IoT Interns & Engineers in future projects. He has translated technical concepts and information into terms all parties could easily comprehend and collaborated on all stages of the systems development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to production releases. Samson has also worked as an Embedded Engineer at zestiot, where he worked with the ESP32 dev module to prepare a general-purpose embedded device that can integrate various sensors and communication modules. While working on ESP32, he worked on with C programming language and FreeRTOS SDk for ESP32. He refactored old basecode of 8-10 repos into a single repo of generic code which is efficient enough to do better performance in various configurations. He improved and fixed many asserts and done code optimization to result in a ZERO-Warning resulted build. Samson has also worked on C, C++, 4G communication, and GNSS modules which are integrated into the ESP32 development board. Samson holds a Bachelor of Technology - BTech in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from Narayana Engineering and Technical Campus, Hyderabad.
