Samuel Kessler is a highly motivated Machine Learning PhD student with a passion for research and development. Currently working as an AI Research Scientist at Huawei Technologies Research Development UK Ltd, Samuel is a part-time intern working on applying ideas in Continual Learning to Self-Supervised Automatic Speech Recognition. Samuel has a strong academic background with a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Machine Learning from the University of Oxford, a Master of Science (MSc) in Statistics from ETH Zurich, and a Msci in Physics from Imperial College London. He also holds a European Baccalaureate from the European School Brussels 1. With over 4 years of relevant experience, Samuel has worked as a PhD Researcher at the University of Oxford and as a Research Assistant at ETH Zurich where he worked on mining the ghtorrent database to quantitatively understand what makes a leader.
