Samuzzal Choudhury is an experienced Engineering Manager at VMware with over 18 years of relevant experience in the software engineering field. Currently, he is working as a Product Engineer (Backend) at gojek, an Indonesian technology company that offers ride-hailing, food delivery, and other services. Before joining gojek, Samuzzal worked as a Principal Software Engineer at Red Hat, where he led the successful release of the API and UI modules of a dependency analytics platform. He was also the maintainer of the fabric8-analytics open source organization and co-designed and implemented DevOps practices for the project. Samuzzal led multiple integrations to the platform through an API management layer and carried out performance benchmarking of the system deployed as microservices on Openshift. He also re-engineered the system to support the performance SLA for its GA and to make it cloud-scalable. Prior to Red Hat, Samuzzal worked as a Technical Consultant at IBM, where he led the design and development of the Oracle Database Certification Cloud for POWER systems. He was the SME for the IBM-Oracle collaboration project for enabling ISV Oracle applications on AIX. He also designed and developed the federated billing module of the IBM cloud brokerage service and the enterprise help desk appointment scheduler app. Samuzzal designed and developed multiple PoCs on IBM cloud for targeted advertising, DevOps, and analytics. Samuzzal holds a Master's Degree in Computer Applications (MCA) from Tezpur University and a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from Gauhati University.
