Sanchayan Maity is a passionate and experienced Consultant at asymptotic.io with a strong interest in Linux and open-source technologies. He has a primary focus on Embedded Linux domain, but also has a keen interest in functional programming languages, distributed systems, and computer architecture. Sanchayan is always eager to learn and tinker with new technologies, believing that learning never ends. He loves C, Haskell, and Rust and is an organizer and speaker for Bangalore Haskell and Rust Bangalore meet-up groups. Sanchayan has worked for 8.6 years in the industry, gaining extensive knowledge and experience in various domains. He has worked as a Senior Software Engineer II at harman, where he was responsible for the custom Linux FPGA driver in Generic Engineering Display (GED) project. He was also involved in the development of Linux Device Driver and BSP for Toradex modules as a Development Engineer at toradex ag. Sanchayan has contributed to the mainline Linux and U-boot and Toradex downstream, including Vybrids, iMX6, iMX7, and Tegra Kernels. Sanchayan holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from the Illinois Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics from K.J.Somaiya College of Engineering. He has a strong tech stack that includes Software Engineering, testing, MySQL, AWS, and Search.
