Sanchit Aggarwal is a Data Scientist turned Farmer who is passionate about filling the gaps in Agriculture using Data Science. He is the Founder & Director of ayata intelligence and is on a mission to make chemical-free fruits and vegetables affordable through his venture Eekam Farms. With his model farms, he provides vegetables within 10-15 hours post-harvest. Sanchit has over 10 years of experience with in-depth knowledge of Data Science, Machine Learning, Computer Vision, NLP, IoT & MLaaS Products. Sanchit has worn different hats while setting up a data science team from scratch, mentoring young talent, and utilizing lean operational and management processes necessary for leading complex projects and teams in early-stage startup environments. He has worked with Early Stage Startups like Innoplexus, SquadStack, PoP, and was previously a Founder in Residence at Entrepreneur First, Bangalore. Some interesting problems which he explored in the last few years are smart eyewear for visually differently-abled, smart water meter, regulatory intelligence for pharmaceuticals, text summarization for health products, crowd count and emotion analysis from videos for standardisation of outdoor media assets, fine-grained classification for fashion products, moderation, trust, and safety for C2C e-commerce platforms, quality scoring framework using speech algorithms like diarisation, KWS, transcription, intent detection for inside sales using emotion detection, noise removal, etc. Sanchit is a part of EIR CIE IIITH Hyderabad, TIE Nurture Pune 9.0, AIC ISB ESTAC 2020, MANAGE CIA - SAIP 3, Top 30 and Regional Winner of Misfits by Vruksh, Nexus-ACIR. He is also an Agri Trainer with Art of Living and a Mentor at UPGRAD and LJMU. He completed his Certification in Organic Farming from the School of Agriculture, Delhi. During his masters, he also got an opportunity to work at Open Source Projects with Apache Airavata and LCDM, UIUC for Google Summer of Code 2013 and 2014, respectively. Sanchit has a Master's degree in Computer Science from the International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Hyderabad and his thesis work involved "The semantic understanding of Indoor Scenes from Single Image" and was advised by Dr. Anoop Namboodiri and Prof CV Jawahar.
