Sandeep Kumar Sahu is an experienced software engineer with 8.87 years of relevant experience in building products that scale. He is currently an intern at fernuniversität in hagen, where he is working on a project that involves implementing an existing static task scheduling algorithm that takes into account both processor failures and processor slowdowns by using task duplicates. Sandeep has also worked on parallel application programming for code optimization of this task scheduler code using OpenMP and has learned various performance analysis techniques. Prior to this, Sandeep worked as a Backend Developer at Cognizant, where he developed a GDS (Global distribution system) subsystem that simulates a real GDS. He used the Spring Web MVC framework for the backend of the web application and played a part in the frontend development, which involved the AngularJS framework. Sandeep has also worked as a Software Engineer at 6degrees, where he developed the 6degrees phonebook application for Android. He was responsible for database (SQLite DB) modeling of some of the unique features like Quick Actions and Spotlight Search where the most frequently contacted people appear on the view card and search results. Sandeep also built intelligent applications such as Smart search for people and contacts in 6degrees network, App Recommendation Engine, etc., at scale with Neo4j - Graph Database. Sandeep's technical skills include Neo4j, Search, Java, Android, Spring, AWS, Azure, Frontend, Web, Javascript, Kafka, Integration, and Backend. He holds a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Computer Science from IIT Kharagpur. Sandeep is passionate about building products that solve real-world problems and can scale to millions of users.
