Sandeep Baskaran is a highly motivated and ambitious Product Designer based in Chennai, India. He is currently working as a Product Designer at Basis, where he is responsible for designing tailor-made financial products for women to aid their financial independence journey. Prior to Basis, Sandeep worked as an Innovation Strategist at Cargoflash, where he performed user research, interaction design, and developed financial strategies based on quantitative and qualitative research insights. Apart from his full-time job, Sandeep is also a Design Mentor at Careerboat and ADPList, where he mentors design aspirants and beginners. He is also a Figma Community Advocate, coordinating and managing the operations of Friends of Figma Chennai chapter. Sandeep is a community volunteer at Headstart and has interned at EDII, which keeps him abreast of the startup ecosystem. Sandeep is a 10x Designer by ambition and is acquiring the skills to become one. He takes delight in travelling and allows his travel experiences to inform his designs and enrich his life. Sandeep’s technical skills include product design, research science, product management, data science, mobile and web design, and search. He is always up for a beneficial session on freelancing, productivity, personal finance, travel planning, Notion, Figma, and all things design. Sandeep holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics and Instrumentations Engineering from Valliammai Engineering College and completed his higher secondary education in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology from Sri Sankara Vidyalaya Matriculation Higher Secondary School. With 3.35 years of relevant experience, Sandeep is a highly skilled and motivated designer who is always striving to improve his skills and become a 10x Designer.
