Sandeep Bhat is a Senior Software Engineer II at Harness, with over 7 years of relevant experience in the industry. He specializes in Golang, Cloud (Azure, GCP), Networking, Kubernetes, Docker, Angular 2, and REST APIs. Sandeep has achieved several milestones in his career, including developing a custom Load Balancer using Go and Envoy proxy that automatically detects traffic and turns on target machines and also performs shutdown of machines on detecting no traffic for a configured period of time. He has also worked on and scaled Walmart Edge tech stack that was used for Black Friday Sales and clocked around 76k OPM (Order Per Minute). Sandeep was part of a startup acquired by Cisco and was part of the team that launched a new product in Cisco from scratch. Currently, Sandeep is working on Cloud Cost Optimization and helping companies save on their cloud costs. As part of this, he is working on Autostopping and custom load balancer using Envoy. He works extensively using GCP and AWS Go SDK. In the past, he has worked as a Freelance Blogger for a food blog written by his wife and maintained by him. He has also worked as a Placement Coordinator at The National Institute of Engineering, Mysore. Sandeep holds a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Computer Science Engineering from The National Institute of Engineering, Mysore. He has also completed his Pre-University from Poorna Prajna Pre University College, Udupi, and his 10th from Kendriya Vidyalaya No 2, Kasaragod.
