Sandeep Joel is a Senior Software Engineer - Frontend at Freshworks, with over 7 years of relevant experience in the field. He is a Software Engineer by destiny and a UI Developer by heart. Sandeep's love for frontend development started when he printed a simple text on a webpage, and it rendered the output. Since then, he has been crafting pixel-perfect web interfaces from design mock while maintaining SEO best practices and deploying them. Sandeep has worked on several projects during his tenure at Freshworks, including the Freshdesk product team, where he got to work on a large codebase. During this time, he learned the importance of code quality, maintenance, performance, and testing frameworks. He also explored ASTs and wrote codemods for doing migration from Mocha to Qunit. Sandeep was privileged to receive the "Freshdesk - Innovation award Q4 2019." Apart from his professional work, Sandeep enjoys binge-watching documentaries or science videos on YouTube channels like Kurzgesagt, CrashCourse, etc. He is also a fitness enthusiast and can be found in the gym pumping iron when not close to his laptop. Sandeep also spends his weekends in church, either singing bass or sleeping during sermons. Sandeep's technical skills include HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with expertise in Jquery, Sass, Git, Grunt, Travis, Middleman (Static Site Generator), Sentry (Error reporting Tool), and basics of Ember, React, AST, Codemods, Nginx, etc. He has also implemented several solutions to improve code quality and enhance the search experience of Freshdesk products. Sandeep holds a B.Tech degree in Information Technology from SSN College of Engineering. He also completed his schooling from A.V.M. Rajeshwari School.
