Sandeep Krishnamurthy is an accomplished Engineering Manager with over 9 years of experience in building large-scale deep learning and machine learning frameworks. Currently, he is the Engineering Leader for Deeplearning Engines at AWS AI, where he launched the Amazon SageMaker Distributed Data Parallelism library for large-scale data parallel distributed deep learning model training with TensorFlow and PyTorch. He is also working on scaling the team and business to $X MM ARR while building deep learning systems to power AWS SageMaker and other AWS AI products. Sandeep has a strong background in software engineering, with a focus on automation, standardization, and closed monitoring and alarming systems. He has worked closely with engineers, ML scientists, business and leadership team members to craft agile, automated, monitored, and reliable software systems to bring ML and AI solutions to products. He has helped teams build complex ML platforms, including data pipeline, data governance, feature engineering and feature repository, hosted notebooks for uniform experimentation platform, model training infrastructure, and model inference servers at scale. Sandeep is a committer and active contributor to Apache MXNet deep learning framework. He has also led the development of Keras-MXNet and contributed to the deep learning benchmark and monitoring system. In his previous role at Google, he worked on the Google Cloud AI Platform - Inference Service, focusing on reliability and performance optimization using Kubernetes, TensorFlow, NVIDIA TensorRT, and INTEL OpenVino. Sandeep holds a Master of Technology (MTech) degree in Information Technology from iiit Bangalore and a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E) degree in Computer Science & Engineering from Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Technology. He has also completed his PUC from Vijaya Composite PU College and SSLC from Vijaya High School.
