Sandeep Kumar is a seasoned Engineer with over 20 years of experience building scalable solutions that drive decisions across product, architecture, and engineering to enable businesses to build quality products within desirable timeframes. He specializes in scalability, availability, platforms, globalization, back-end entity modeling, identity, payments, compliance, notifications, and messaging. Sandeep has a wealth of experience in enterprise data models, trust, auth, communications, and privacy. Currently, Sandeep is serving as the Executive Director at WePay, where he is responsible for enterprise architecture, FinTech, financial accounts, identity platforms, profile management, and authentication infrastructure. Prior to joining WePay, Sandeep held various leadership positions at PayPal, where he served as the Principal Member of Technical Staff and Chief Architect of the Identity Platform. He was responsible for managing the lifecycle of various actors in the PayPal ecosystem and their relationships, as well as their access to PayPal services. Additionally, Sandeep was responsible for the User Platform Architect, which provided services for accessing and managing PayPal's 250 million active customer's profile and identity data. Sandeep also served as the Notifications Architect, responsible for providing customer notifications across various channels, including email, SMS, mobile push notifications, secure message centers, web alerts, snail mail, Facebook Messenger, HTTP, and webhooks. Sandeep's experience also includes serving as the Enterprise Architect at Procore Technologies, where he was responsible for developing scalable solutions that drove decisions across product, architecture, and engineering to enable businesses to build quality products with desirable timeframes. He has also worked on extensive financial linking (EFL), a complex event processing system responsible for modeling identities and financial instruments based on data feeds from multiple eBay properties. Sandeep holds a DAC in Advanced Computing Education from c-dac, a BE in Electrical Engineering from Gulbarga University, and an Intermediate degree in Science from Dr. Hari Ram Arya Inter College, Haridwar.
