Sandeep Kumar is an experienced Design Engineer specializing in Automatic Train Control and Automatic Train Operation (Driverless train operation). He has a strong background in Control Algorithms, Data Structures, Linear Algebra, Statistics, and Fundamentals of Machine Learning. Currently, Sandeep is pursuing his Masters from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, with a specialization in Control and Computing. His interests lie in Machine learning, Deep Learning, Natural Language Processing, and Optimal Control. Sandeep is a skilled programmer with expertise in programming languages like Python, C++, and Matlab. He has good knowledge of libraries like Pytorch, Keras, Scikit-learn, Pandas, and Numpy. Sandeep is currently working as a Lead Software Engineer at Cadence Design Systems, where he is responsible for designing and implementing automation systems. Prior to joining Cadence Design Systems, Sandeep worked as an ATC Project Leader at Alstom, where he was responsible for leading the ATC team for the Thomson East Coast Line Metro Project in Singapore. He analyzed and proposed solutions for gaps related to the ATC subsystem and managed work packages, resources, and data. Sandeep has also worked as a Student at the Indian Institute of Technology, where he completed his Major Project on "Stability of Model Predictive Control with Dual Effect." He worked on optimal control of linear stochastic systems with parameter uncertainties, estimation and prediction of unknown parameters using Kalman Filter theory, and optimal controller input with a dual objective. Sandeep holds a Bachelor's degree in Electronic and Communications Engineering Technology from NIT Tiruchirappalli and is expected to complete his Master's degree in Control and Computing from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, in December 2021.
