Sandeep Kumar is a seasoned Release Train Engineer (RTE) with over 25 years of experience in Product Leadership and Delivery, Industrial Automation and Control, SCADA, Cyber Security, Digitalization, and IoT. He is currently working for Siemens as an RTE, leading and coaching multiple product teams located across the globe to develop new products and maintain existing software components for wind turbines SCADA, monitoring, and control. Sandeep has extensive experience in technology, software product delivery, project management, program management, and transition management. He has worked with various teams and stakeholders, including product managers, release managers, the ART teams, and intra-ART teams, to resolve impediments, manage risk, help ensure value delivery, and drive relentless improvement. In his current role, Sandeep is responsible for facilitating the ART process and overseeing its implementation for the Agile Release Train (ART), which consists of 80+ software engineers. His role involves working closely with his team to ensure that the products are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the required quality standards. Sandeep's past experience includes working as a Software Delivery Team Head and Program & Transition Manager at Siemens. As a Software Delivery Team Head, he was responsible for multiple software components, product, and service delivery from Bangalore. He led a team of 35+ strong software engineers, including developers, project managers, architects, test, and documentation specialists. As a Program & Transition Manager, he established an offshore team in India to achieve cost, time, and productivity arbitrage. He ramped and onboarded a large team of 500+ software professionals, established processes for 24X7 operation at Bangalore, and monitored and tracked KPIs for the success of the program. Sandeep holds a B.Tech degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Hamirpur. He is a highly skilled professional with a strong background in software engineering, project management, and program management.
