Sandeep has played a significant role in establishing Khabri as a popular audio streaming service for news and has helped in developing a large and loyal user base. Before Khabri, Sandeep worked as the EVP/Head of India & AsiaPac Brand Solutions at Saavn, a revolutionary streaming music service in India and around the world. During his tenure at Saavn, Sandeep played a crucial role in establishing Saavn as the most popular audio streaming service for South Asians across the world. He helped develop a large and loyal user base of 19 million globally and steered key initiatives that made Saavn the market leader in the genre. Sandeep also analyzed market trends to identify opportunities in markets like Pakistan, Australia, UK, and the Middle East as incremental revenue sources. He boosted the team size from 1 to over 40 persons in brand solutions, client servicing, and operations. Sandeep also implemented and executed the first of its kind audio-only event “AudioOn” for brands, content creators, and distributors to exchange their views on the future of audio. Sandeep also has experience as the Founder & CEO of Utthaan Media P Ltd, where he aimed to bridge the digital divide between rural/semi-urban and urban India. UMPL tied up with the UP Agriculture Produce Marketing Board (UP Mandi Parishad) to promote inclusive growth by using technology in the 247 odd mandi market yards, which facilitate roughly 22 million farming households in the state of UP. Sandeep facilitated the transmission of knowledge from the agriculture domain, the best practices, the latest technologies, various government initiatives, etc., to the grassroots level, and launched a monthly magazine called "Utthaan Express." Sandeep holds an MBA from Jaipuria Institute of Management and Lucknow University and a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration and Marketing. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree.
