Sandeep Srinivasa is an experienced technology leader with over 17 years of relevant experience in the field. Currently, Sandeep is the Founder, Head of Product and Tech at redcarpetup, a company that provides credit and cards for the next billion users in India. He made it to YCombinator Summer 2015 and has since been leading the regulatory strategy as well as the new business initiatives. Sandeep is also responsible for leading the bank-led debt partnerships on the card side. Sandeep has gained much scar tissue working with financial institutions, regulators, and capital institutions. He has a proven track record of delivering results and is an expert in product, strategy, and vision. Before joining redcarpetup, Sandeep worked as Vice President - Engineering at elara, where he spearheaded the re-architecture of the CRM and the catalog/listings platform. He also started the separation process between the monolithic platform and newer web services and delivered the next-generation search, which was the best among all real-estate portals in India at the time of writing. As Director - Engineering at tradus, Sandeep led the initiatives to build the supply chain backend, search, and business intelligence tools. He is passionate about recruiting the best damn team in ecommerce and forging them to work as a highly cohesive unit. Sandeep enjoys going to colleges and "catching" young talent. He has built a culture to identify wildcard performers who may not have the best educational grades, but end up being the best employees. Sandeep is instrumental in sneaking in functional programming and cutting-edge technologies (Jruby) to accelerate product development as well as a deployment-first philosophy towards development.
