She currently works as a Data Engineering Specialist at Virgin Hyperloop, where she leverages her expertise in data engineering to drive analytics initiatives. Sandhya is a continuous learner who loves programming and solving challenging problems. She is most passionate about AI and how it can be leveraged to improve society. Sandhya has held several key positions in her career, including Senior Data Engineer at Hyperloop One and Citi. At Hyperloop One, she designed and developed the data platform that collects, integrates, preprocesses, and analyzes data from various sources. At Citi, she was responsible for the BCBS reporting lineage representation and the RegInsight 2.0/Helix Framework. She designed and developed graphs to get the data lineage from report applications and loaded them to MHUB. She also developed a fully automated, flexible, and scalable engine to support scheduled and on-demand execution of reports using Python, Spark, and Ab Initio. Sandhya holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from Anna University, where she graduated in 2006. She also completed her schooling from St. Joseph's Convent. Sandhya has a strong tech stack that includes data engineering, senior software engineering, AI, HDFS, Spark, and Python.
