Sandi Romih is an experienced Hardware Design Engineer with over 10 years of experience designing PCBs of varying complexity. Her expertise spans the entire hardware design process, from architecture and specification definition to prototype bring up and product certification. Sandi has a firm understanding of PCB design techniques, including high-speed routing techniques, switching power supply design, EMC/EMI design considerations, automotive product design, and multi-layered stack-up. Sandi has worked on a variety of projects throughout her career, ranging from battery-operated handheld equipment to telecommunications platforms and ASIC development platforms. She has also worked on automation projects for public street lighting and tunnel control systems, gaining experience with Siemens PLCs and WinCC HDI and SDADA systems. As an Engineering Manager at Intel Corporation, Sandi manages a small team providing EE design in support of the company's products. Prior to this role, she worked as a Senior Applications Engineer at both Intel and Movidius. Sandi holds a National Higher Diploma in Instrumentation and Automatic Control Systems from Technicon Witwatersrand, which she earned in 1995. She is a self-motivated individual who functions well independently or in a group. She enjoys encountering new technology and challenges as it enriches her experience as an Engineer. Sandi's technical skills include Cadence OrCAD and Allegro, Altium Designer, various SPICE simulators, Xilinx ISE, SIMATC STEP 7, WinCC, and TIA V11. With almost 27 years of relevant experience, Sandi is a seasoned professional who brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to any project she works on.
