Sanjay Bharkatiya is an experienced engineering leader with over 17 years of experience in software architecture, design, and delivery of large-scale distributed systems. He is currently serving as the Assistant Vice President of Engineering at Jio, where he leads the Customer Identity and Security team. Sanjay has a proven track record of ideating, designing, integrating, developing, and launching software products, including frontend and backend, with end-to-end ownership. He is an expert in high-level and low-level design and walkthroughs, with a particular focus on developing products from scratch from PoC to prototyping to production. Sanjay has extensive experience working with business stakeholders, product management teams, senior developers, and QA to define the end-to-end solution architecture from product requirements till delivery with quality, effort, risk estimations, and time-to-market. He takes complete accountability for the productivity of the software engineering team and their roadmap. Sanjay has a strong technical background in Java, NodeJS, SpringBoot, Apache Cassandra, Redis, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Docker, and Kubernetes. He is also proficient in monitoring and log analysis using ELK, Grafana, and Prometheus.
