Currently serving as the Chief Product and Technology Officer at Nykaa, he is responsible for leading the product and tech teams at one of India's leading e-commerce companies. With a keen interest in bootstrapping startups, building engineering organizations, and prototyping solutions, Sanjay has a proven track record of success in the industry. He has led the transition from a legacy monolith platform to a web services architecture while delivering new feature requirements to enable aggressive growth targets. Some of his notable achievements include achieving 100% availability with the rollout of the web services stack, making Tradus.com load faster than the top three e-commerce players in India, and ensuring platform performance does not degrade even at 30x current traffic levels. Sanjay has also built a stellar engineering organization, led tech branding, recruitment, and headcount planning, and initiated "Internal Technology seminars" to motivate the team and share knowledge across cross-functional teams. He envisioned and led the development of Tradus Alerts, which enabled the entire organization to proactively detect and react to business and operational events.
