Sanjeev Cherian is an experienced Director of Development with over 20 years of global experience in software development on the Cloud, Enterprise Data Management, and Billing software domains. He is currently leading the development of Data integration services on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) as the Director of OCI Data Integration in Bangalore, India. Sanjeev has a proven track record of leading key initiatives to develop industry-leading enterprise software products. He has worked with Informatica in the past as a Director of Development and Development Manager. In his role as Director of Development with Informatica, Sanjeev collaborated with product managers and architects across geographies on the product road map and strategy for the Enterprise Data Catalog (EDC) product. He led teams to develop key EDC features around Discovery and Scanner capabilities, Smart Domains, and Curation using ML-like technology to intelligently classify and cluster data across the catalog. Sanjeev also evaluated Machine Learning (ML) for increasing the accuracy of Rule-based classification to govern structured and unstructured data using Informatica's proprietary rule engine. Sanjeev has designed and developed the next-generation Data quality/profiling product that led Informatica to be the “Leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Data Quality” for several years. He defined the ‘Advanced Customer Engineering(ACE)' delivery and staffing model for driving customer adoption for EDC. Sanjeev was also involved in product planning and budgeting that includes holding workshops, cost projection, reviewing statement of work (SOW) with service providers for staff augmentation. Sanjeev holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta, and a BE in Computer Science from MBM Engineering College, Jodhpur. He has expertise in Integration, ML, Software Engineer, infra, Azure, and ETL. With a relevant experience of 24.13 years, Sanjeev is a seasoned professional in the software development industry.
