Sanjeev Rana is a Senior Data Scientist at o9 Solutions, Inc. with a passion for Finance and the use of technology in Finance. He is a Bachelor's Degree undergraduate from IIT Bombay, and a CFA Level 2 candidate, as well as a part of the CQF 2022 cohort. Sanjeev's role involves developing end-to-end solutions for Demand and Retail Planning in Python and R. Sanjeev has over 4 years of relevant experience, during which he has worked on multiple Proof of Concept and Demos to showcase capabilities of o9 Solutions Platform. He has also enhanced and optimized the existing statistical framework which increased the accuracy by 15-20%. Sanjeev has created a statistical framework by combining the Segmentation, Hierarchical Forecasting and Disaggregation model, and implemented the Statistical framework to 4 existing projects after Data Analysis, improving accuracy by 10-20%. He has generated the Demand forecast using Hierarchical Forecasting method after segmenting the data, and developed a model to disaggregate the forecast at different levels while retaining the properties of the lower-level data. Currently, Sanjeev is working on creating an Auto-EDA model and multivariate forecasting models. Sanjeev's TechStack includes Research Scientist, Data Scientist, Python, Scikit, ML, and Tensorflow. He is open to opportunities related to Quantitative Research, Portfolio Management, Private Equity, Derivatives Modelling and Pricing, and Fixed Income securities. Sanjeev's education history includes a Bachelor of Technology - BTech in Civil Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, which he completed in 2019.
