Sankalp Nimbhorkar is a highly skilled software engineer with over 12 years of relevant experience in the field. He is currently working as a Software Engineer at Akamai Technologies, where he specializes in CDN, Distributed Systems, performance, scale, and availability. Sankalp has a strong background in microservices and has worked on several projects related to CDN cache management, CDN Config Management, SSL certificate/key provisioning, and Authentication/Authorization. Prior to joining Akamai, Sankalp worked as a Lead Software Engineer at Instart Logic, where he was responsible for the tech lead of CDN "control plane" subsystems. He developed RESTful microservices to facilitate retrieval, update, version control, validation, and distribution of config (control plane) for CDN dependent and independent features. Sankalp also implemented a generic and easily extensible validation platform, reducing end-to-end deployment time by 75%. He also worked on a set of microservices for validating, distributing, and handling cache purge operations, reducing end-to-end completion time by ~80%. Before Instart Logic, Sankalp worked at VMware as an MTS, where he worked on HostAgent, which is the lowest layer of management stack and acts as a communication module between ESX/vSphere host and higher management layers (typically vCenter Server). He worked on various features related to VM management, host management, and scalability. Sankalp holds a B.Tech degree in Computer Engineering from Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute (VJTI) and completed his High School (HSC) in Science (General) from R L T College of Science, Akola.
