Sankalp Wagh is a Technical Lead at D. E. Shaw India Private Limited with over 4 years of experience in developing, testing, and deploying scalable, performant applications. In his previous role as a Software Engineer 3 at Walmart, Sankalp built REST APIs as part of a microservice for relaying a customer's order information. He also built a reporting service used for daily financial reconciliation. He moved the microservice to public cloud, viz. Microsoft Azure, from Walmart’s private cloud, ensuring that personally identifiable information was stored adhering to best data storage practices. He worked on making the codebase more stable by increasing the test coverage, resolving SonarQube issues, and increasing code modularity. He was able to decrease the count of SonarQube issues from 100+ to 0.
