Sanket Achari is an experienced software engineer with a strong background in backend web infrastructure development. He has expertise in programming languages such as Java, Scala, and JavaScript. Currently, Sanket is working as a Software Engineer II at Microsoft. Prior to joining Microsoft, Sanket worked as a Software Engineer II at Akamai where he developed web services and REST APIs for detection & mitigation platform. He performed CRUD operations on customer data requiring high throughput & low latency. Sanket also developed services for collection & aggregation of routed network traffic which is exported from multiple datacenters. He leveraged RabbitMQ & Redis cache for aggregation of network data. Additionally, he worked on a packet capture system for DDoS detection platform to facilitate real-time retrieval of network packets. He delivered leader election feature of Zookeeper to allow one active instance of the detection engine in a cluster. Sanket also secured communication between micro-services using mutual SSL authentication. He worked with technologies such as Spring Framework, Node JS, Cassandra, Redis, Elasticsearch, Zookeeper, RabbitMQ, and Angular JS 1.3. Sanket also worked as a Software Engineer Intern at Akamai where he developed IP profile web page in Angular 1.3 and Node JS to display daily and minute network traffic for a destination IP. He documented REST endpoints using RESTful API Modeling Language (RAML). Sanket deployed Packet Sniffer and HTTP Anomaly Detector projects on Linux production environment and learned about working of Makefile, GNU debugger while resolving build dependencies and runtime issues. Sanket holds a Master’s Degree in Computer Science from the University of Florida and a Bachelor's Degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering from Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology.
