Sanket Purohit is a seasoned product management leader with over 9 years of experience in various domains such as recruitment & staffing, travel, automobile, and e-commerce. He is currently working as a Senior Product Manager at Careem, an Uber company, where he leads the Marketplace (Matching, Peak) products across MoT verticals (Food, Grocery, and Express). Sanket has a proven track record of building successful end-to-end marketplaces, and he was the first product manager to build one at apna jobs, one of the fastest-growing job marketplaces based out of India. He has experience in setting up the product org, product engineering processes, design systems, and other 1-10 processes that are scalable. Sanket has led the execution and product strategy to set up end-to-end marketplace functions such as candidate onboarding, employer onboarding, job posting & approval flow, job feed and matchmaking, trust & safety internal tools. He has also built high-reliability, large-scale complex data products such as feed, personalization, search experience, recommendation engine, AI-based chatbot, Lead qualification, etc. Moreover, Sanket has led the complete product strategy for the digital transformation of traditional businesses based in India & Japan. He has hands-on experience in building digital marketing strategies, which helped him build a solid end-to-end consumer-focused point of view. Sanket has worked for various companies, including apna, where he was a product leader and built the entire marketplace product org from scratch. He also worked for Cardekho as an Associate Director of Product. Sanket holds a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) Hons. degree in Chemical Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani. He has also completed his High School education from B.R.C. and Modern Senior Secondary School, Alwar. Sanket is proficient in product management, search, and AI.
