Santhosh Sankaran is a seasoned professional in Backend Engineering with over 5 years of relevant experience. He has a strong technical background and is proficient in Java, Python, NodeJS applications, relational and NoSQL databases, and various open-source tools and technologies like Docker, Airflow, Redis, RabbitMQ, among others. Currently, Santhosh is working as a Software Development Engineer II - Backend at Squadcast. In his previous role at Leena AI, he developed a secrets manager module using NodeJS, AWS SDK, and Redis cache, enabling migration and rotation of secrets to be used in services across the organization. He also improved customer satisfaction by 5X by developing a custom score matching algorithm for intents in bot conversations and integrated Google Chat API as a communication channel using ExpressJS and Mongoose with support for various message types to be deployed as bots for multiple customers. At Noodle AI, Santhosh worked as a Senior Software Engineer - Backend. He designed and developed a Collaboration Module API service using Flask RESTPlus framework for executives to work with a tasks-based system for the Supply Chain AI application. He also designed and developed a versioned database migration wrapper on top of Flyway to extend the capabilities of the community edition and saved an annual cost of $12,000. Santhosh also developed a generic, modular DAG framework for running configurable Airflow pipelines for the Supply Chain AI application suite and a generic Continuous Integration (CI) pipeline using Groovy in Jenkins to standardize the CI/CD process across the entire organization. Santhosh holds a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Instrumentation and Control Engineering from NIT Tiruchirappalli. He also completed his schooling from Maharidhi Vidya Mandir Higher Secondary School.
