Santiago Esteva is a highly experienced Director of Frontend Engineering with almost 20 years of relevant experience. He is currently working at Sabre, where he is the Sr Principal Software Architecture - Director Front End Engineering, leading two architecture teams - Web and Mobile - deployed in US, IND, POL and MVD. Santiago is responsible for guiding 70+ product development teams across the organization on best practices and delivering high-quality products on record time. Santiago is a hands-on leader who approaches his guidance by embedding himself into the project and working side by side with other members of the development team. He plays multiple roles, including Architect, Tech Lead, DevOps, Scrum Master, Developer, and QA Automation Engineer. Santiago's highlights include successfully leading 10 UI/UX distributed scrum teams on a highly complex mission-critical project and accomplishing company adherence to using ReactJs for 60% of their applications and new products. Santiago has also developed a repository of simple and complex reusable components across Sabre, reducing development time by 6 to 16 weeks. Before joining Sabre, Santiago worked at Travelocity as a Tech Lead Front and Back-end, where he was responsible for developing tools, standards, and architecture design for backend and frontend projects. Santiago has a degree in Hotel Management from CEPEC - La Suisse and completed his MIT Sloan Executive Technology, Operations, and Value Chain Management in 2018.
