Santosh Lakshman M is a seasoned Product Leader with over 12 years of experience in eCommerce, FinTech, HRTech, and MarTech. He is currently a Senior Product Manager at Microsoft, where he is responsible for tenant and user provisioning in Skype for Business and Microsoft Teams. Santosh is leading the multi-team effort of decoupling Microsoft Teams from legacy Skype for Business infrastructure. Prior to joining Microsoft, Santosh served as the Director of Product at Rupeek Gold Loans, where he led the product in Customer Acquisition and Experience vertical. He built a team of 5 PMs and 2 Product Analysts and facilitated the scaling of paid marketing campaigns, SEO, customer lifecycle management, and building the complete digital journey of the gold loan customer. Before Rupeek, Santosh worked in the Business Platform team at Indeed, where he built products for Marketing Automation (SEM/SEO/Email Marketing), Performance Management, and Recruiting. He has also worked as a Principal Product Manager at MySmartPrice.com, where he built the fashion eCommerce vertical grounds up and scaled the team to ~20+ members. Santosh has a strong academic background, having completed his MBA from IIM Calcutta and his B.E. (Hons.) in EEE from BITS Pilani. He also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta and Business Administration and Management, General from emlyon business school. Santosh is a specialist in Product Management in eCommerce and Retail, Ideation, Marketing Automation, SEO, Email Marketing, and Digital Marketing. He has also worked as a Software Developer at Maxrange Retail Pvt. Ltd., where he played a central role in the development of TouchSmart, a touch-based catalog system critical to mySmartShop's unique zero stock business model. Santosh has also co-founded Colon K, a personalized merchandise company. As a Product Management Consultant, Santosh has helped multiple startups build their first product roadmap, build product strategy for digital acquisition/activation (SEO, Performance Marketing) and retention (Email/App/Whatsapp Notifications), hire their first product manager, and define and build career paths for product teams.
