Santosh Sharma is an accomplished Engineering Manager with over 13 years of experience in software development and engineering management roles. He is currently the Engineering Manager R&D at VMware, where he is responsible for successfully executing and delivering end-to-end software feature developments. Santosh is also actively hiring for multiple positions at VMware. Santosh has a strong foundation in software development and has worked in various domains such as computer networks, distributed file systems, WAN acceleration, SDN, software-defined storage, and cloud computing. He has experience in VPN, firewall testing, setting up different network topologies, implementing management frameworks, and embedded platforms and Linux kernel/device driver programming. He has also worked on internet connection types such as static, DHCP, and PPP. Before joining VMware, Santosh worked at Teamf1 as a Software Development Engineer, where he gained experience in computer network domains such as VPN (IPsec), wireless-driver and Ethernet-driver integration, bug-fixing, QOS, 802.1x, and USB-message communication.
