Sanyam Khurana is a highly skilled Lead Engineer, GSoC Mentor, and Open-Source Contributor with a passion for software engineering. He has a zest for learning about computers and loves programming. Sanyam has been an active contributor to various Open Source projects and a maintainer to a few of them. He believes that contributing to Open Source software has made him realize how few lines of code can make a huge impact on millions of people. Sanyam is a Vouched Mozillian and one of the very few people to feature in Mozilla Credits. He has also contributed to CPython, the default Python implementation, and has been granted bug triaging access on bugs.python.org. He has also contributed to Oppia and other few Open Source projects. He has been fortunate enough to collaborate with some of the best engineers in the Software Industry and learn a lot by just contributing to Open Source. Sanyam is a Senior Backend Engineer, currently working on architecting and creating scalable BE systems for Fortune 500 companies, startups, etc. He has previously worked as a Backend Engineer at an undisclosed company and as a Software Engineer at zopper.com. At zopper.com, he implemented a data pipeline using Amazon SQS & SNS to sync all data from POS App to Zopper Systems, developed Auto Trigger Notifications based on user actions and in-actions, developed In-App notifications that are consumed via RESTful API by Android & iOS apps, integrated Payment Gateway like ZestMoney which is consumed via RESTful APIs by Android & iOS apps, and developed CRM; experienced in third-party integration for sending SMS and Mails. Sanyam has a Master's degree in Computer Science from Georgia Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) in Computer Science and Engineering from GGSIPU. He has a wealth of experience in various technologies such as Python, Ansible, Flask, Redis, SQL, Elastic Search, iOS, Parts-of-speech, Docker, MySQL, Integration, MongoDB, Django, and Postgres. Sanyam believes that the design is more important than code and gives the most weight to architecture while making any software. He thinks that three things which make great software are "Architecture," "Documentation," and "Automated tests." They are and should be an integral part of any software product. Sanyam is looking to collaborate on projects (preferably open) that make an impact on the lives of people and also provide him with an opportunity
