Sanyam Vikram is an experienced Software Developer at Amazon with a passion for exploring new domains and solving complex problems. With over 4 years of experience, Sanyam has a strong background in building large scale distributed systems and applied machine learning. Currently, Sanyam is contributing to the storage engine modernization project in DynamoDB, which has led to improvements in latency, burst scaling, and failover recovery. Additionally, he has designed and developed a chat platform from scratch that supports workflow, live chat, and NLP-powered free text support. This platform is a microservice system deployed entirely in AWS and has served over 7 million chats across 3 regions and 10+ marketplaces worldwide. Prior to his role at Amazon, Sanyam worked in the vendor space and built technology to ensure vendor success. He also worked on a vendor segmentation system that analyzes vendors based on their health across different verticals and classifies them into different buckets to help them grow with Amazon. Sanyam holds a B.Tech in Electronic and Communications Engineering from Dr. B R Ambedkar National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar (Punjab) and has completed his Senior Secondary education from Manav Rachna International School. He has a strong technical background in software engineering, NLP, AWS, Javascript, ML, microservices, deep learning, Java, ReactJS, neural networks, BERT, hyperparameters, frontend, backend, web, and C. In his free time, Sanyam enjoys exploring new technologies and learning about emerging trends in the industry. He is a problem solver at heart and is always looking for ways to improve his skills and knowledge.
