Sapan Diwakar is an experienced Software Engineer currently working at GateMedia SA. He is an EPFL Alumni with over 11 years of relevant experience in the field of software development. Sapan is a Full Stack developer with expertise in Ruby, Rails, Elixir, Phoenix, GraphQL, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Swift, and Kotlin. At GateMedia SA, Sapan has developed a framework for digital signage players to support automatic SVG vs HTML rendering and synchronization of content between multiple players and screens. He has also developed a system for passenger information displays and fleet management for transport vehicles in multiple cities across Switzerland. In addition, he has developed scalable and fault-tolerant systems for high-reliability operations like interfacing with Credit Card Processors. Prior to joining GateMedia SA, Sapan worked as a Research Engineer at Sonoview Acoustic Sensing Technologies. There he worked on the development of an algorithm to reconstruct high-resolution 3D images of different breast tissues based on an ultrasound echo signal. The aim of the system was to identify the cancerous tissues based on their interaction with an ultrasound signal using full 3D waveform inversion. He has also worked as a Software Engineer Intern at Honeywell where he worked on a License Usage Reporting/Analysis tool that allowed detailed interactive reports for software licenses used by the Honeywell Engineering teams. Sapan holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne. He is a skilled and experienced software engineer with a passion for building mobile and web applications.
