Sarah Aladetan is a highly skilled Software Engineer with over 4 years of relevant experience in the field. She is currently working at GitHub as a Software Engineer, where she is responsible for developing new features on the platform. Sarah is a former CODE2040 Fellow and an MIT Alumna, having graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science & Comparative Media Studies, with a Minor in Music. Sarah's experience includes working as an Application Engineering Intern at GitHub, where she worked on developing a new feature on Github.com. She was part of a team that developed a graph in user’s repositories that allows for visual traversal through various project’s dependencies and their subdependencies. During this time, Sarah learned essential software engineering skills such as how to navigate large codebases through working on various bug fixes, how to produce effective pull requests for code reviews, and how to collaborate/communicate with remote developers. Sarah has also worked as a Technical Lead at MIT Brazil Global Startup Labs, where she developed curriculum and taught students various technology skills, including basic programming, web development, software architecture development, rapid prototyping, and user-focused design. She consulted with student-formed startups in the program to aid with technical difficulties during the development of their business models and MVPs. Sarah's tech stack includes Software Engineer, Web, and Senior Software Engineer. She is a highly motivated and dedicated individual who is always looking to learn and grow. Sarah is passionate about technology and enjoys working on projects that have a positive impact on people's lives.
