Saransh Gupta is a final year undergraduate student at the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering, enrolled in Quality Engineering Design and Manufacturing (Mechanical Vertical) at the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur. With a keen interest in the application of Machine Learning and Deep Learning, he has gained 1.95 years of relevant experience in the field. Currently, Saransh is working as a Data Science Associate - Intern at ZS Associates, where he utilizes his skills in Python programming for data analysis and automation of data extraction. He has also used various Machine Learning models for relation type classification and has a good understanding of NLP and fundamentals of weak supervision for generating training data for Deep Learning models for relationship prediction between biomedical entities. Saransh has streamlined the whole process into a pipeline, showcasing his ability to optimize workflows. Prior to ZS Associates, Saransh has worked as a Machine Learning Engineer at Parjanya Creative Solutions, where he gained hands-on experience in developing Machine Learning models for various applications. He has also worked as a COVID-19 Decision Support System Intern at Sapio, where he led the team with an objective to build an AI-driven Decision Support System to obtain various outputs such as prediction of spread, resource optimization of essential services, predicting the impact on the economy, predicting the social impact of the outbreak, planning structured withdrawal of lockdown, and preparation of an algorithm for alternative testing methodology. Saransh has a strong educational background with a BTech and MTech dual degree in Quality Engineering Design and Manufacturing from IIT Kharagpur. He has also pursued a research internship at Osaka University, Japan, where he worked on the optimization of the production process of a manufacturing company using Machine Learning algorithms. With a tech stack that includes Data Scientist, ML, Deep Learning, NLP, Python, AI, and test, Saransh is a highly skilled professional who is passionate about applying his knowledge to tackle real-world problems.
